Getting Married
The cost of a marriage celebrant depends on the type of ceremony you're planning. As a general guide, legal-only weddings typically start from around $450 to $600, while a fully personalised ceremony will usually cost more because of the additional planning, preparation and time involved.
A personalised ceremony allows your celebrant to get to know you through meetings, questionnaires and conversations to create a ceremony that genuinely reflects who you are as a couple. A legal-only wedding focuses on the required legal wording and paperwork, making it a great option if you simply want to be officially married.
When comparing celebrants, look beyond the price. Every celebrant includes different services, and some may charge additional travel fees or extra costs for things like a professional PA system. It's always worth checking exactly what's included before making your decision.
